Clipsal 500 Frequencies 2013 - Updated Sunday 3/3/13

This information is compiled from previous lists and by people monitoring the action last year.
If you find anything new or have updated information please let us know via the SA-SCAN Yahoogroup

Clipsal 500 Race Control / Officials frequencies

All Clipsal 500 Race Control and official organisation radio traffic is this year being conducted on the Motorola MotoTRBO system. This system cannot be monitored with a scanner, however with the use of the Digital Speech Decoder software available on the internet, and a scanner fitted with a discriminator tap it is possible to decode the audio. Some success has also been had using a cheap USB TV dongle as the reciever and feeding this audio directly in to the DSD Software.

The Clipsal 500 radio traffic is coming from the CBD transmitter site located on the SANTOS building on King William street.

The frequencies being used are:

Adelaide
464.4125
465.075
465.550
466.150
466.650
463.3625

A live feed of this network is available here - http://clipsal500.no-ip.org

It is understood that some secondary communications for the event will still be heard on the 800mhz Motorola trunking system running off the Santos House site in the city. Some talkgroups may also be heard on the Mt Lofty site as well.

Many trunking scanners allow the option of using 'Control Channel Only' mode on these 800mhz systems, this function has proven to work very well with these networks.
